Kurt Bergmann with his Kaimann Racing Team is one of the most successful Austrian racing car builders. He built more than 200 racing cars. There was a close cooperation between Kaimann Racing and Porsche Konstruktionen KG. A lot of modifications and development of the Formula V racing cars was done together. Kaimann also used Porsche racing engines for their car in 1970. These cars were named „Austro Kaimann“. Porsche Konstruktionen KG stopped their Formula V racing car production before the two-carburetor era and so Kaimann was the only remaining Austrian Formula V racing car builder.
